The Fall has to be my favorite time of year in Southern California.  Hurricane swells, Santa Ana winds and the time change.  Unlike most surfers, I enjoy the time change.  It seems to thin out the evening lineup crowds. However, when the nine-to-fivers finally make it to the beach, they make their mad dash to the lineup in hopes of catching a couple waves before dark.
